1982 New Zealand Lumber Companys Assets

NZ Lumber’s 14,000 square feet headquarters was based in Hewletts Road where the BP Truck stop now stands. The site was on 3.2 hectares of land and contained an administration block, a truck maintenance depot and a goods storge complex.

This land was secured by purchasing the Rorison Company. There were 135 staff. Most people in supervisory positions had at least 16-20 years experience in the company at that stage.
