Our Hamilton oversize transport team were involved in the transportation of silo segments (7mwide and 5.45om high) to be transported from Hamilton to Mount Maunganui. This project required 3 – 4 loads to be transported per silo, with six silos in total to be transported over coming months. The challenge for the oversize transport division was the height and width of the segments, meaning they had to transported at off-peak hours with pilot vehicles in attendance, as well as power company escorts. On the first trip, the team left Hamilton at midnight and arrived in Tauranga by 4.30am.
