We're in Good Company – Truckie's with Heart
Bay News Article - Truckers Make the Day for Everyone
When one of our truck drivers, Brett Skevington – Linehaul, approached us a few months back with the idea to raise money for Child Cancer we began a journey to make this driver's dream come true.
There have been a number of learning curves over recent months and without a great team it would have been almost impossible to pull off. Each member of our team has some incredible and diverse strengths. Hugely talented people, such as Paul Tyson/Road Management from BOP Fulton Hogan, have provided the expertise a fundraising project like this needs. Meeting Warren Keenan, Child Cancer Manager here in Tauranga was very inspirational – his stories of families affected by a child with cancer made us even more determined to make this event a success
Adrian from Sign Shack in Mount Maunanganui didn't hold back in donating his artwork and time for the signs – Brian Kelly at Classic Hits was your typical rocker and just believed in it from the beginning – thanks to these guys our (free) advertising campaign was underway.
Now with this event just around the corner the team are thrilled, excited and overwhelmed to run such an event. Our aim is to raise as much money as we can for Child Cancer and celebrate Father's day – we have some great Dad's and role models in our community – here's to you!.
A big thanks to all our volunteers including all the truck drivers who gave the kids an awesome day to remember (and some big kids too!)
